8For 1 “ Behold, + 8:8 “Behold”, from “ἰδοὺ”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection. the days are coming”, says the Lord, 2 “ that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; 1

9not 2 in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; 1 for they didn’ t continue in my covenant, 2 and I disregarded them,” says the Lord. 1

10“ For 2 after those days,” says the Lord: 1 “ I will put my laws into their mind; 2 I will also write them on their heart. 1 I will be their God, 2 and they will be my people. 1

11They 2 and every man his brother, saying, ‘ Know the Lord,’ 2 for all will know me, 2 from their least to their greatest. 1

12For 2 I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.” + 8:12 Jeremiah 31:31-34
