Hosea 7
When 2 then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, 2 also the wickedness of Samaria; 2 for they commit falsehood, 2 and the thief enters in, 2 and the gang of robbers ravages outside. 1
They 2 Now their own deeds have engulfed them. 2 They are before my face. 1
They 2 and the princes with their lies. 1
They 2 They are burning like an oven that the baker stops stirring, 2 from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened. 1
On 2 He joined his hand with mockers. 1
For 2 while they lie in wait. 2 Their anger smoulders all night. 2 In the morning it burns as a flaming fire. 1
They 2 and devour their judges. 1 All their kings have fallen. 2 There is no one amongst them who calls to me. 1
Ephraim mixes 2 Ephraim is a pancake not turned over. 1
Strangers 2 and he doesn’t realise it. 1 Indeed, grey hairs are here and there on him, 2 and he doesn’t realise it. 1
The 2 yet they haven’t returned to the LORD their God, 2 nor sought him, for all this. 1
“Ephraim is 2 They call to Egypt. 2 They go to Assyria. 1
When 2 I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. 2 I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard. 1
Woe to 2 For they have wandered from me. 1 Destruction to them! 2 For they have trespassed against me. 1 Though I would redeem them, 2 yet they have spoken lies against me. 1
They 2 but they howl on their beds. 1 They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. 2 They turn away from me. 1
Though I have 2 yet they plot evil against me. 1
They 2 They are like a faulty bow. 2 Their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. 2 This will be their derision in the land of Egypt.
