2“ Listen 2 Let this be your consolation. 1
3Allow me 2 After I have spoken, mock on. 1
4As for 2 Why shouldn’t I be impatient? 1
5Look 2 Lay your hand on your mouth. 1
6When 2 Horror takes hold of my flesh. 1
7“ Why 2 become old, yes, and grow mighty in power? 1
8Their 2 their offspring before their eyes. 1
9Their 2 neither is the rod of God upon them. 1
10Their 2 Their cows calve, and don’t miscarry. 1
11They send 2 Their children dance. 1
12They 2 and rejoice at the sound of the pipe. 1
13They 2 In an instant they go down to Sheol. + 21:13 Sheol is the place of the dead. 1
14They 2 for we don’t want to know about your ways. 1
15What 2 What profit should we have, if we pray to him?’ 1
16Behold 2 The counsel of the wicked is far from me. 1
17“ How 2 that their calamity comes on them, 2 that God distributes sorrows in his anger? 1
18How often is 2 as chaff that the storm carries away? 1
19You 2 Let him recompense it to himself, that he may know it. 1
20Let his 2 Let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty. 1
21For 2 when the number of his months is cut off? 1
22“ Shall 2 since he judges those who are high? 1
23One 2 being wholly at ease and quiet. 1
24His 2 The marrow of his bones is moistened. 1
25Another 2 and never tastes of good. 1
26They 2 The worm covers them. 1
27“ Behold 2 the plans with which you would wrong me. 1
28For 2 Where is the tent in which the wicked lived?’ 1
29Haven’t you 2 Don’t you know their evidences, 1
30that 2 that they are led out to the day of wrath? 1
31Who 2 Who will repay him what he has done? 1
32Yet 2 Men will keep watch over the tomb. 1
33The 2 All men will draw after him, 2 as there were innumerable before him. 1
34So how can you 2 because in your answers there remains only falsehood?”
