Psalms 5
1Give ear to 2 Consider my meditation. 1
2Listen to 2 for I pray to you. 1
3LORD 2 In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. 1
4For 2 Evil can’t live with you. 1
5The 2 You hate all workers of iniquity. 1
6You 2 The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. 1
7But 2 I will bow towards your holy temple in reverence of you. 1
8Lead me 2 Make your way straight before my face. 1
9For 2 Their heart is destruction. 2 Their throat is an open tomb. 2 They flatter with their tongue. 1
10Hold them 2 Let them fall by their own counsels. 1 Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions, 2 for they have rebelled against you. 1
11But 2 Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. 1 Let them also who love your name be joyful in you. 2
12For 1 LORD, you will surround him with favour as with a shield.
