Então Joanã, filho de Careá, e todos os capitães das forças que estavam com ele tomaram todo o remanescente do povo que ele havia recuperado de Ismael, filho de Netanias, de Mispá, depois que ele havia matado Gedalias, filho de Aicão — os homens de guerra, com as mulheres, as crianças e os eunucos, que ele havia trazido de volta de Gibeão.
