Habakkuk 3

A 1

O 1 O Jehovah, revive thy work in the midst of the years; 1 In the midst of the years make it known; 1 In wrath remember mercy. 1

God 1 And the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah 1 His glory covered the heavens, 1 And the earth was full of his praise. 1

And 1 He had rays coming forth from his hand; 1 And there was the hiding of his power. 1

Before 1 And fiery bolts went forth at his feet. 1

He 1 He beheld, and drove asunder the nations; 1 And the eternal mountains were scattered; 1 The everlasting hills did bow; 1 His goings were as of old. 1

I 1 The curtains of the land of Midian did tremble. 1

Was 1 Was thine anger against the rivers, 1 Or thy wrath against the sea, 1 That thou didst ride upon thy horses, 1 Upon thy chariots of salvation? 1

Thy bow 1 The oaths to the tribes were a sure word. Selah 1 Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. 1

The 1 The tempest of waters passed by; 1 The deep uttered its voice, 1 And lifted up its hands on high. 1

The 1 At the light of thine arrows as they went, 1 At the shining of thy glittering spear. 1

Thou didst march 1 Thou didst thresh the nations in anger. 1

Thou 1 For the salvation of thine anointed; 1 Thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked man, 1 Laying bare the foundation even unto the neck. Selah 1

Thou 1 They came as a whirlwind to scatter me; 1 Their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly. 1

Thou didst tread 1 The heap of mighty waters. 1

I 1 My lips quivered at the voice; 1 Rottenness entereth into my bones, and I tremble in my place; 1 Because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, 1 For the coming up of the people that invadeth us. 1

For 1 Neither shall fruit be in the vines; 1 The labor of the olive shall fail, 1 And the fields shall yield no food; 1 The flock shall be cut off from the fold, 1 And there shall be no herd in the stalls: 1

Yet 1 I will joy in the God of my salvation. 1

Jehovah 1 And he maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, 1 And will make me to walk upon my high places. For the Chief Musician, on my stringed instruments.
