Deuteronomy 33
1And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2And he said, 1 The Lord came from Sinai, 1 And rose up from Seir unto them; 1 He shined forth from mount Paran, 1 And he came with ten thousands of saints: 1 From his right hand went a fiery law for them. 1
3Yea, he loved the people; 1 All his saints are in thy hand: 1 And they sat down at thy feet; 1 Every one shall receive of thy words. 1
4Moses commanded us a law, 1 Even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 1
5And he was king in Jeshurun, 1 When the heads of the people 1 And the tribes of Israel were gathered together. 1
6Let Reuben live, and not die; 1 And let not his men be few. 1
7And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, 1 Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, 1 And bring him unto his people: 1 Let his hands be sufficient for him; 1 And be thou a help to him from his enemies.
8And of Levi he said, 1 Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, 1 Whom thou didst prove at Massah, 1 And with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 1
9Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; 1 Neither did he acknowledge his brethren, 1 Nor knew his own children: 1 For they have observed thy word, 1 And kept thy covenant. 1
10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, 1 And Israel thy law: 1 They shall put incense before thee, 1 And whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. 1
11Bless, Lord, his substance, 1 And accept the work of his hands: 1 Smite through the loins of them that rise against him, 1 And of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
12And of Benjamin he said, 1 The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; 1 And the Lord shall cover him all the day long, 1 And he shall dwell between his shoulders.
13And of Joseph he said, 1 Blessed of the Lord be his land, 1 For the precious things of heaven, for the dew, 1 And for the deep that coucheth beneath, 1
14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, 1 And for the precious things put forth by the moon, 1
15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, 1 And for the precious things of the lasting hills, 1
16And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, 1 And for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: 1 Let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, 1 And upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 1
17His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, 1 And his horns are like the horns of unicorns: 1 With them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: 1 And they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, 1 And they are the thousands of Manasseh.
18And of Zebulun he said, 1 Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; 1 And, Issachar, in thy tents. 1
19They shall call the people unto the mountain; 1 There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: 1 For they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, 1 And of treasures hid in the sand.
20And of Gad he said, 1 Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: 1 He dwelleth as a lion, 1 And teareth the arm with the crown of the head. 1
21And he provided the first part for himself, 1 Because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; 1 And he came with the heads of the people, 1 He executed the justice of the Lord, 1 And his judgments with Israel.
22And of Dan he said, 1 Dan is a lion’s whelp: 1 He shall leap from Bashan.
23And of Naphtali he said, 1 O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, 1 And full with the blessing of the Lord: 1 Possess thou the west and the south.
24And of Asher he said, 1 Let Asher be blessed with children; 1 Let him be acceptable to his brethren, 1 And let him dip his foot in oil. 1
25Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; 1 And as thy days, so shall thy strength be. 1
26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, 1 Who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, 1 And in his excellency on the sky. 1
27The eternal God is thy refuge, 1 And underneath are the everlasting arms: 1 And he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; 1 And shall say, Destroy them. 1
28Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: 1 The fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; 1 Also his heavens shall drop down dew. 1
29Happy art thou, O Israel: 1 Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, 1 The shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! 1 And thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; 1 And thou shalt tread upon their high places.
