Deuteronomy 33
And this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
And he said, 1 The Lord is come from Sinai, 1 And has appeared from Seir to us, 1 And has hastened out of the mount of Paran, with the ten thousands of Kadesh; 1 On his right hand were his angels with him. 1
And he spared his people, 1 And all his sanctified ones are under thy hands; 1 And they are under thee; 1 And he received of his words 1
The law which Moses charged us, 1 An inheritance to the assemblies of Jacob. 1
And he shall be prince with the beloved one, 1 When the princes of the people are gathered together 1 With the tribes of Israel. 1
Let Reuben live, and not die; 1 And let him be many in number.
And this is the blessing of Judah; 1 Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, 1 And do thou visit his people: 1 His hands shall contend for him, 1 And thou shalt be a help from his enemies.
And to Levi he said, 1 Give to Levi his manifestations, 1 And his truth to the holy man, 1 Whom they tempted in the temptation; 1 They reviled him at the water of strife. 1
Who says to his father and mother, I have not seen thee; 1 And he knew not his brethren, 1 And he refused to know his sons: 1 He kept thine oracles, 1 And observed thy covenant. 1
They shall declare thine ordinances to Jacob, 1 And thy law to Israel: 1 They shall place incense in the time of thy wrath 1 Continually upon thine altar. 1
Bless, Lord, his strength, 1 And accept the works of his hands; 1 Break the loins of his enemies that have risen up against him, 1 And let not them that hate him rise up.
And to Benjamin he said, 1 The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in confidence, 1 And God overshadows him always, 1 And he rested between his shoulders.
And to Joseph he said, 1 His land is of the blessing of the Lord, 1 Of the seasons of sky and dew, 1 And of the deeps of wells below, 1
And of the fruits of the changes of the sun in season, 1 And of the produce of the months, 1
From the top of the ancient mountains, 1 And from the top of the everlasting hills, 1
And of the fullness of the land in season: 1 And let the things pleasing to him that dwelt in the bush 1 Come on the head of Joseph, 1 And on the crown of him who was glorified above his brethren. 1
His beauty is as the firstling of his bull, 1 His horns are the horns of a unicorn; 1 With them he shall thrust the nations at once, even from the end of the earth: 1 These are the ten thousands of Ephraim, 1 And these are the thousands of Manasseh.
And to Zebulun he said, 1 Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out, 1 And Issachar in his tents. 1
They shall utterly destroy the nations, and ye shall call men there, 1 And there offer the sacrifice of righteousness; 1 For the wealth of the sea shall suckle thee, 1 And so shall the marts of them that dwell by the seacoast.
And to Gad he said, 1 Blessed be he that enlarges Gad: 1 As a lion he rested, 1 Having broken the arm and the ruler. 1
And he saw his firstfruits, 1 That there the land of the princes gathered 1 With the chiefs of the people was divided; 1 The Lord wrought righteousness, 1 And his judgment with Israel.
And to Dan he said, 1 Dan is a lion’s whelp, 1 And shall leap out of Bashan.
And to Naphtali he said, 1 Naphtali has the fullness of good things; 1 And let him be filled with blessing from the Lord: 1 He shall inherit the west and the south.
And to Asher he said, 1 Asher is blessed with children; 1 And he shall be acceptable to his brethren: 1 He shall dip his foot in oil. 1
His sandal shall be iron and brass; 1 As thy days, so shall be thy strength. 1
There is not any such as the God of the beloved; 1 He who rides upon the heaven is thy helper, 1 And the magnificent One of the firmament. 1
And the rule of God shall protect thee, 1 And that under the strength of the everlasting arms; 1 And he shall cast forth the enemy from before thy face, 1 Saying, Perish. 1
And Israel shall dwell in confidence 1 Alone on the land of Jacob, 1 With corn and wine; 1 And the sky shall be misty with dew upon thee. 1
Blessed art thou, O Israel; 1 Who is like to thee, O people saved by the Lord? 1 Thy helper shall hold his shield over thee, 1 And his sword is thy boast; 1 And thine enemies shall speak falsely to thee, 1 And thou shalt tread upon their neck.
