Deuteronomy 33

And this is the brocha, wherewith Moshe the Ish HaElohim blessed the Bnei Yisroel before moto (his death). 1

And he said, 1 Hashem came from Sinai, 1 and rose up from Se'ir unto them; 1 He shined forth from Mt Paran, 1 and He came with ten thousands of kodesh; 1 from His right hand went a fiery law for them. 1

Yea, He loved the amim; 1 kol kedoshav (all His holy ones) are in Thy hand: 1 and they sat down at Thy feet; 1 every one shall receive of Thy devarot. 1

Moshe charged us with a torah, 1 even the morashah kehillat Ya'akov (heritage of the Congregation of Ya'akov). 1

And He was Melech in Yeshurun, 1 when the Rashei Am and the Shivtei Yisroel 1 were gathered together. 1

Let Reuven live, and not die; 1 and let not his men be few. 1

And this to Yehudah: and he said, 1 Shema, Hashem, the voice of Yehudah, 1 and bring him unto his people; 1 let his hands contend for him; 1 and be Thou an ezer (help) to him from his enemies. 1

And of Levi he said, 1 Let Thy Tummim and Thy Urim be with Thy chasid, 1 whom Thou didst prove at Massah, 1 and with whom Thou didst strive at the waters of Merivah; 1

Who said unto his av and to his em, 1 I have not seen him; 1 neither did he acknowledge his brethren, 1 nor knew his own banim; 1 for they + 33:9 Levi'im have been shomer over Thy word, 1 and Thy Brit they have preserved. 1

They shall teach Ya'akov Thy mishpatim, 1 and Yisroel Thy torah; 1 they shall put ketorah before Thee, 1 and kalil (whole burnt offerings) upon Thine mizbe'ach. 1

Bless, O Hashem, his resources, 1 and accept the work of his hands; 1 strike through the loins of them that rise against him, 1 and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. 1

And of Binyamin he said, 1 Yedid Hashem shall dwell 1 in safety by Him; 1 and Hashem shall hover over him all day long, 1 and he (Yedid Hashem), shall rest between His shoulders. 1

And of Yosef he said, 1 Mevorekhet Hashem (Blessed of Hashem) be his land, 1 for the precious things of Shomayim, for the tal, 1 and for the tehom (deep waters) that coucheth below, 1

With the choice fruits brought forth by the shemesh, 1 and choice crops put forth by the yarei'ach, 1

And with the choicest of the harrei kedem (eternal mountains), 1 and for the precious things of the everlasting hills, 1

And for the precious things of ha'aretz and fulness thereof, 1 and for the good will of Him whose [shekhinah] dwelling is in the [burning] bush; 1 let the blessing come upon the head of Yosef, 1 and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 1

His glory is like the bechor of his shor, 1 and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox; 1 with them he shall push the people 1 together to the ends of ha'aretz; 1 and they are the ten thousands of Ephrayim, 1 and they are the thousands of Menasheh. 1

And of Zevulun he said, 1 Rejoice, Zevulun, in thy going out; 1 and, Yissakhar, in thy oholim. 1

They shall call the people unto the mountain; 1 there they shall offer zivkhei tzedek; 1 for they shall draw out of the abundance of the seas, 1 and of treasures hid in the sand. 1

And of Gad he said, 1 Baruch be he that enlargeth Gad; 1 he dwelleth as a lion, 1 and teareth the zero'a as well as the crown of the head. 1

And he provided the reshit for himself, 1 when the chelkat mechokek (lawgiverʼs chelek) was assigned. 1 When the Rashei Am came, 1 he executed the Tzidkat Hashem, 1 and His mishpatim with Yisroel. 1

And of Dan he said, 1 Dan is a gur aryeh (lionʼs whelp); 1 he shall leap from Bashan. 1

And of Naphtali he said, 1 O Naphtali, satisfied with ratzon, 1 and full with the Birkat Hashem; 1 possess thou the west and the south. 1

And of Asher he said, 1 Baruch be Asher with banim; 1 let him be acceptable to his brethren, 1 and let him tovel (dip, immerse) + 33:24 as in tevilah his foot in shemen. 1

Thy bars shall be barzel (iron) and nechoshet (bronze); 1 and as thy yamim, so shall thy strength be. 1

There is none like unto El Yeshurun, 1 who rideth upon Shomayim to be thy ezer (help), 1 and on the sky in His majesty. 1

Elohei Kedem is thy me'onah (dwelling place), 1 and underneath are the Zero'ot Olam (Everlasting Arms): 1 and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; 1 and shall say, Make them shmad. 1

Yisroel then shall dwell in safety alone; 1 the fountain of Ya'akov shall be upon 1 an eretz dagan (land of grain) and tirosh (new wine); 1 also His heavens shall drop down tal. 1

Happy art thou, O Yisroel; who is like unto thee, 1 O people saved by Hashem, 1 the mogen of thy ezer 1 and the cherev of thy majesty! 1 Thine enemies shall come fawning unto thee; 1 and thou shalt trample down their high places.
