Yahweh 1 “ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. 2 Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness. 1
I 2 and you will be built, O virgin of Israel. 1 You will again be adorned with your tambourines, 2 and will go out in the dances of those who make merry. 1
Again 2 The planters will plant, 2 and will enjoy its fruit. 1
For 2 ‘ Arise! Let’s go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.’”
For 1 “ Sing with gladness for Jacob, 2 and shout for the chief of the nations. 1 Publish, praise, and say, 2 ‘ Yahweh, save your people, 2 the remnant of Israel!’ 1
Behold 2 and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, 1 along with the blind and the lame, 2 the woman with child and her who travails with child together. 2 They will return as a great company. 1
They 2 I will lead them with petitions. 1 I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, 2 in a straight way in which they won’t stumble; 1 for I am a father to Israel. 2 Ephraim is my firstborn. 1
“ Hear 2 and declare it in the distant islands. Say, 1 ‘ He who scattered Israel will gather him, 2 and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.’ 1
For 2 and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he. 1
They 2 and will flow to the goodness of Yahweh, 1 to the grain, to the new wine, to the oil, 2 and to the young of the flock and of the herd. 1 Their soul will be as a watered garden. 2 They will not sorrow any more at all. 1
Then 2 the young men and the old together; 1 for I will turn their mourning into joy, 2 and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. 1
I 2 and my people will be satisfied with my goodness,” says Yahweh.
Yahweh 1 “ A voice is heard in Ramah, 2 lamentation and bitter weeping, 1 Rachel weeping for her children. 2 She refuses to be comforted for her children, 2 because they are no more.”
Yahweh 1 “ Refrain your voice from weeping, 2 and your eyes from tears, 2 for your work will be rewarded,” says Yahweh. 2 “ They will come again from the land of the enemy. 1
There 2 “ Your children will come again to their own territory. 1
“ I 2 ‘ You have chastised me, 2 and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. 1 Turn me, and I will be turned, 2 for you are Yahweh my God. 1
Surely 2 I repented. 1 After that I was instructed. 2 I struck my thigh. 1 I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, 2 because I bore the reproach of my youth.’ 1
Is 2 Is he a darling child? 1 For as often as I speak against him, 2 I still earnestly remember him. 1 Therefore my heart yearns for him. 2 I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh. 1
“ Set 2 Make guideposts. 1 Set your heart toward the highway, 2 even the way by which you went. 1 Turn again, virgin of Israel. 2 Turn again to these your cities. 1
How 2 you backsliding daughter? 1 For Yahweh has created a new thing on the earth: 2 a woman will encompass a man.”
