Job 7

“Isn’t a 2 Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand? 1

As 2 as a hireling who looks for his wages, 1

so 2 wearisome nights are appointed to me. 1

When 2 ‘ When will I arise, and the night be gone?’ 2 I toss and turn until the dawning of the day. 1

My 2 My skin closes up, and breaks out afresh. 1

My 2 and are spent without hope. 1

Oh remember 2 My eye will no more see good. 1

The 2 Your eyes will be on me, but I will not be. 1

As 2 so he who goes down to Sheol + 7:9 Sheol is the place of the dead. will come up no more. 1

He 2 neither will his place know him any more. 1

“ Therefore 2 I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. 2 I will complain in the bitterness of my soul. 1

Am I 2 that you put a guard over me? 1

When 2 My couch will ease my complaint,’ 1

then you 2 and terrify me through visions, 1

so that 2 death rather than my bones. 1

I 2 I don’t want to live forever. 2 Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath. 1

What 2 that you should set your mind on him, 1

that 2 and test him every moment? 1

How 2 nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle? 1

If 2 Why have you set me as a mark for you, 2 so that I am a burden to myself? 1

Why 2 For now will I lie down in the dust. 2 You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”
