1 Samuel 2

1Hannah 1 “ My heart exults in the LORD! 2 My horn is exalted in the LORD. 1 My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, 2 because I rejoice in your salvation. 1

2There 2 for there is no one besides you, 2 nor is there any rock like our God. 1

3“Don’t keep talking 2 Don’t let arrogance come out of your mouth, 2 for the LORD is a God of knowledge. 2 By him actions are weighed. 1

4“The bows 2 Those who stumbled are armed with strength. 1

5Those 2 Those who were hungry are satisfied. 1 Yes, the barren has borne seven. 2 She who has many children languishes. 1

6“ The 2 He brings down to Sheol + 2:6 Sheol is the place of the dead. and brings up. 1

7The 2 He brings low, he also lifts up. 1

8He 2 He lifts up the needy from the dunghill 2 to make them sit with princes 2 and inherit the throne of glory. 1 For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s. 2 He has set the world on them. 1

9He 2 but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; 2 for no man will prevail by strength. 1

10Those 2 He will thunder against them in the sky. 1 “ The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. 2 He will give strength to his king, 2 and exalt the horn of his anointed.”
