Proverbs 9
1Wisdom 2 She has carved out her seven pillars. 1
2She has prepared 2 She has mixed her wine. 2 She has also set her table. 1
3She 2 She cries from the highest places of the city: 1
4“ Whoever 2 As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him, 1
5“ Come 2 Drink some of the wine which I have mixed! 1
6Leave 2 Walk in the way of understanding.” 1
7One 2 One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse. 1
8Don’t reprove 2 Reprove a wise person, and he will love you. 1
9Instruct 2 Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning. 1
10The 2 The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 1
11For 2 The years of your life will be increased. 1
12If you 2 If you mock, you alone will bear it. 1
13The 2 undisciplined, and knows nothing. 1
14She 2 on a seat in the high places of the city, 1
15to 2 who go straight on their ways, 1
16“ Whoever 2 As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him, 1
17“ Stolen 2 Food eaten in secret is pleasant.” 1
18But 2 that her guests are in the depths of Sheol. + 9:18 Sheol is the place of the dead.
