14The 1 “ Because you have done this, 2 you are cursed above all livestock, 2 and above every animal of the field. 1 You shall go on your belly 2 and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. 1
15I will 2 and between your offspring and her offspring. 1 He will bruise your head, 2 and you will bruise his heel.”
16To 1 “ I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. 2 You will bear children in pain. 1 Your desire will be for your husband, 2 and he will rule over you.”
17To 1 “ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, 2 and have eaten from the tree, 2 about which I commanded you, saying, ‘ You shall not eat of it,’ 2 the ground is cursed for your sake. 1 You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life. 2
18It will 2 and you will eat the herb of the field. 1
