Hosea 11
“ When 2 and called my son out of Egypt. 1
They 2 They sacrificed to the Baals, 2 and burned incense to engraved images. 1
Yet 2 I took them by their arms, 2 but they didn’t know that I healed them. 1
I 2 and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; 2 and I bent down to him and I fed him. 1
“ They 2 but the Assyrian will be their king, 2 because they refused to repent. 1
The 2 and will destroy the bars of their gates, 2 and will put an end to their plans. 1
My 2 Though they call to the Most High, 2 he certainly won’t exalt them. 1
“How can I 2 How can I hand you over, Israel? 2 How can I make you like Admah? 2 How can I make you like Zeboiim? 1 My heart is turned within me, 2 my compassion is aroused. 1
I 2 I will not return to destroy Ephraim, 2 for I am God, and not man— the Holy One among you. 2 I will not come in wrath. 1
They 2 who will roar like a lion; 2 for he will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west. 1
They 2 and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; 1 and I will settle them in their houses,” says the LORD. 1
Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, 2 and the house of Israel with deceit. 2 Judah still strays from God, 2 and is unfaithful to the Holy One.
