Proverbs 6

My son 2 if you have struck your hands in pledge for a stranger, 1

you 2 you are ensnared with the words of your mouth. 1

Do 2 since you have come into the hand of your neighbor. 1 Go, humble yourself. 2 Press your plea with your neighbor. 1

Give 2 nor slumber to your eyelids. 1

Free yourself 2 like a bird from the snare of the fowler. 1

Go 2 Consider her ways, and be wise; 1

which having no chief 2

provides 2 and gathers her food in the harvest. 1

How 2 When will you arise out of your sleep? 1

A 2 a little folding of the hands to sleep— 1

so 2 and your scarcity as an armed man. 1

A 2 is he who walks with a perverse mouth, 1

who winks 2 who motions with his fingers, 1

in 2 who devises evil continually, 2 who always sows discord. 1

Therefore 2 He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy. 1

There 2 yes, seven which are an abomination to him: 1

arrogant eyes 2 hands that shed innocent blood, 1

a 2 feet that are swift in running to mischief, 1

a 2 and he who sows discord among brothers. 1

My 2 and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. 1

Bind 2 Tie them around your neck. 1

When 2 When you sleep, it will watch over you. 2 When you awake, it will talk with you. 1

For 2 and the law is light. 2 Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 1

to 2 from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue. 1

Don’t lust 2 neither let her captivate you with her eyelids. 1

For 2 The adulteress hunts for your precious life. 1

Can 2 and his clothes not be burned? 1

Or 2 and his feet not be scorched? 1

So 2 Whoever touches her will not be unpunished. 1

Men 2 if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry, 1

but 2 He shall give all the wealth of his house. 1

He 2 He who does it destroys his own soul. 1

He 2 His reproach will not be wiped away. 1

For 2 He won’t spare in the day of vengeance. 1

He 2 neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.
