Hosea 4

Hear 2 for the LORD has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: 1 “ Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, 2 nor knowledge of God in the land. 1

There is 2 they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed. 1

Therefore 2 and everyone who dwells in it will waste away, 1 with all living things in her, 2 even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; 2 yes, the fish of the sea also die. 1

“ Yet 2 for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest. 1

You 2 and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; 2 and I will destroy your mother. 1

My 2 Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, 2 that you may be no priest to me. 1 Because you have forgotten your God’s Torah, 2 I will also forget your children. 1

As 2 I will change their glory into shame. 1

They 2 and set their heart on their iniquity. 1

It 2 and I will punish them for their ways, 2 and will repay them for their deeds. 1

They 2 They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; 2 because they have abandoned listening to the LORD. 1

Prostitution 2

My 2 and answer to a stick of wood. 1 Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, 2 and they have been unfaithful to their God. 1

They 2 and burn incense on the hills, under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, 2 because its shade is good. 1 Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, 2 and your brides commit adultery. 1

I 2 nor your brides when they commit adultery; 1 because the men consort with prostitutes, 2 and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; 2 so the people without understanding will come to ruin. 1

“Though you 2 yet don’t let Judah offend; 2 and don’t come to Gilgal, 2 neither go up to Beth Aven, 2 nor swear, ‘ As the LORD lives.’ 1

For 2 Then how will the LORD feed them like a lamb in a meadow? 1

Ephraim is 2 Leave him alone! 1

Their 2 They play the prostitute continually. 2 Her rulers dearly love their shameful way. 1

The 2 and they shall be disappointed because of their sacrifices.
