Deuteronomy 33

2He 1 “ The LORD came from Sinai, 2 and rose from Seir to them. 1 He shone from Mount Paran. 2 He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. 2 At his right hand was a fiery law for them. + 33:2 another manuscript reads “He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.” 1
3Yes, he 2 All his holy ones are in your hand. 2 They sat down at your feet. 2 Each receives your words. 1
4Moses 2 an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob. 1
5He 2 when the heads of the people were gathered, 2 all the tribes of Israel together. 1
6“ Let 2 Nor let his men be few.”
7This 1 “ Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah. 2 Bring him in to his people. 1 With his hands he contended for himself. 2 You shall be a help against his adversaries.”
8About 1 “ Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, 2 whom you proved at Massah, 2 with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah. 1
9He 2 He didn’t acknowledge his brothers, 2 nor did he know his own children; 1 for they have observed your word, 2 and keep your covenant. 1
10They 2 and Israel your law. 1 They shall put incense before you, 2 and whole burnt offering on your altar. 1
11LORD 2 Accept the work of his hands. 1 Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, 2 of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”
12About 1 “ The beloved of the LORD will dwell in safety by him. 2 He covers him all day long. 2 He dwells between his shoulders.”
13About 1 “ His land is blessed by the LORD, 2 for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, 2 for the deep that couches beneath, 1
14for 2 for the precious things that the moon can yield, 1
15for 2 for the precious things of the everlasting hills, 1
16for 2 the good will of him who lived in the bush. + 33:16 i.e., the burning bush of Exodus 3:3-4. 1 Let this come on the head of Joseph, 2 on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers. 1
17Majesty 2 His horns are the horns of the wild ox. 2 With them he will push all the peoples to the ends of the earth. 1 They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. 2 They are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18About 1 “ Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; 2 and Issachar, in your tents. 1
19They 2 There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, 1 for they will draw out the abundance of the seas, 2 the hidden treasures of the sand.”
20About Gad 1 “ He who enlarges Gad is blessed. 2 He dwells as a lioness, 2 and tears the arm and the crown of the head. 1
21He 2 for the lawgiver’s portion was reserved for him. 1 He came with the heads of the people. 2 He executed the righteousness of the LORD, 2 His ordinances with Israel.”
22About 1 “ Dan is a lion’s cub 2 that leaps out of Bashan.”
23About Naphtali 1 “ Naphtali, satisfied with favour, 2 full of the LORD’s blessing, 2 Possess the west and the south.”
24About 1 “Asher is blessed with children. 2 Let him be acceptable to his brothers. 2 Let him dip his foot in oil. 1
25Your 2 As your days, so your strength will be. 1
26“There is 2 who rides on the heavens for your help, 2 in his excellency on the skies. 1
27The 2 Underneath are the everlasting arms. 1 He thrust out the enemy from before you, 2 and said, ‘ Destroy!’ 1
28Israel 2 the fountain of Jacob alone, 1 In a land of grain and new wine. 2 Yes, his heavens drop down dew. 1
29You 2 Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, 2 the shield of your help, 2 the sword of your excellency? 1 Your enemies will submit themselves to you. 2 You will tread on their high places.”
