Ezekiel 28
1The
2“ Son 1 “ Because your heart is lifted up, 2 and you have said, ‘ I am a god, 1 I sit in the seat of God, 2 in the middle of the seas;’ 1 yet you are man, 2 and no god, 2 though you set your heart as the heart of a god— 1
3behold 2 There is no secret that is hidden from you. 1
4By 2 and have gotten gold and silver into your treasuries. 1
5By 2 and by your trading you have increased your riches, 2 and your heart is lifted up because of your riches—”
6“‘ therefore 1 “ Because you have set your heart as the heart of God, 2
7therefore 2 the terrible of the nations. 1 They will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom. 2 They will defile your brightness. 1
8They 2 You will die the death of those who are slain 2 in the heart of the seas. 1
9Will 2 But you are man, and not God, 2 in the hand of him who wounds you. 1
10You 2 by the hand of strangers; 2 for I have spoken it,” says the Lord GOD.’”
11Moreover
12“ Son 1 “ You were the seal of full measure, 2 full of wisdom, 2 and perfect in beauty. 1
13You 2 the garden of God. 1 Every precious stone adorned you: 2 ruby, topaz, emerald, 2 chrysolite, onyx, jasper, 2 sapphire, + 28:13 or, lapis lazuli turquoise, and beryl. 1 Gold work of tambourines 2 and of pipes was in you. 2 They were prepared in the day that you were created. 1
14You 2 Then I set you up on the holy mountain of God. 2 You have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire. 1
15You 2 until unrighteousness was found in you. 1
16By 2 and you have sinned. 1 Therefore I have cast you as profane out of God’s mountain. 2 I have destroyed you, covering cherub, 2 from the middle of the stones of fire. 1
17Your 2 You have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendour. 1 I have cast you to the ground. 2 I have laid you before kings, 2 that they may see you. 1
18By 2 in the unrighteousness of your commerce, 2 you have profaned your sanctuaries. 1 Therefore I have brought out a fire from the middle of you. 2 It has devoured you. 1 I have turned you to ashes on the earth 2 in the sight of all those who see you. 1
19All 2 You have become a terror, 2 and you will exist no more.”’”

22and 1 “ Behold, I am against you, Sidon. 2 I will be glorified amongst you. 1 Then they will know that I am the LORD, 2 when I have executed judgements in her, 2 and am sanctified in her. 1
23For 2 and blood into her streets. 1 The wounded will fall within her, 2 with the sword on her on every side. 2 Then they will know that I am the LORD.
