Lamentations 4

How the 2 The most pure gold has changed! 1 The stones of the sanctuary are poured out 2 at the head of every street. 1

The 2 comparable to fine gold, 1 how they are esteemed as earthen pitchers, 2 the work of the hands of the potter! 1

Even 2 They nurse their young ones. 1 But the daughter of my people has become cruel, 2 like the ostriches in the wilderness. 1

The 2 The young children ask for bread, 2 and no one breaks it for them. 1

Those 2 Those who were brought up in purple embrace dunghills. 1

For 2 which was overthrown as in a moment. 2 No hands were laid on her. 1

Her Nazirites 2 They were whiter than milk. 1 They were more ruddy in body than rubies. 2 Their polishing was like sapphire. 1

Their 2 They are not known in the streets. 1 Their skin clings to their bones. 2 It is withered. 2 It has become like wood. 1

Those 2 for these pine away, stricken through, 2 for lack of the fruits of the field. 1

The 2 They were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people. 1

The 2 He has poured out his fierce anger. 1 He has kindled a fire in Zion, 2 which has devoured its foundations. 1

The 2 neither did all the inhabitants of the world, 2 that the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Jerusalem. 1

It 2 and the iniquities of her priests, 2 that have shed the blood of the just in the middle of her. 1

They 2 They are polluted with blood, 2 So that men can’t touch their garments. 1

“ Go 2 “ Unclean! Go away! Go away! Don’t touch! 1 When they fled away and wandered, men said amongst the nations, 2 “ They can’t live here any more.” 1

The 2 He will not pay attention to them any more. 1 They didn’t respect the persons of the priests. 2 They didn’t favour the elders. 1

Our 2 looking in vain for our help. 2 In our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save. 1

They 2 so that we can’t go in our streets. 1 Our end is near. 2 Our days are fulfilled, 2 for our end has come. 1

Our 2 They chased us on the mountains. 2 They set an ambush for us in the wilderness. 1

The 2 the anointed of the LORD, 2 was taken in their pits; 1 of whom we said, 2 under his shadow we will live amongst the nations. 1

Rejoice 2 who dwells in the land of Uz. 1 The cup will pass through to you also. 2 You will be drunken, 2 and will make yourself naked. 1

The 2 He will no more carry you away into captivity. 1 He will visit your iniquity, daughter of Edom. 2 He will uncover your sins.
