1Where has 2 Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you? Beloved 1

2My 2 to the beds of spices, 2 to pasture his flock in the gardens, and to gather lilies. 1

3I am my 2 He browses amongst the lilies. Lover 1

4You are beautiful 2 lovely as Jerusalem, 2 awesome as an army with banners. 1

5Turn 2 for they have overcome me. 1 Your hair is like a flock of goats, 2 that lie along the side of Gilead. 1

6Your 2 which have come up from the washing, 2 of which every one has twins; 2 not one is bereaved amongst them. 1

8There 2 and virgins without number. 1

9My 2 She is her mother’s only daughter. 2 She is the favourite one of her who bore her. 1 The daughters saw her, and called her blessed. 2 The queens and the concubines saw her, and they praised her. 1

10Who 2 beautiful as the moon, 2 clear as the sun, 2 and awesome as an army with banners? 1

11I 2 to see the green plants of the valley, 2 to see whether the vine budded, 2 and the pomegranates were in flower. 1

12Without 2 my desire set me with my royal people’s chariots. Friends 1

13Return, return, Shulammite! 2 Return, return, that we may gaze at you. Lover 1 Why do you desire to gaze at the Shulammite, 2 as at the dance of Mahanaim?
