Proverbs 2

1My 2 and store up my commandments within you, 1

2so as to 2 and apply your heart to understanding; 1

3yes 2 and lift up your voice for understanding; 1

4if you 2 and search for her as for hidden treasures; 1

5then 2 and find the knowledge of God. + 2:5 The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “ אֱלֹהִ֑ים” (Elohim). 1

6For 2 Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. 1

7He 2 He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, 1

8that 2 and preserve the way of his saints. 1

9Then 2 equity and every good path. 1

10For 2 Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 1

11Discretion 2 Understanding will keep you, 1

12to 2 from the men who speak perverse things, 1

13who forsake 2 to walk in the ways of darkness, 1

14who 2 and delight in the perverseness of evil, 1

15who 2 and wayward in their paths, 1

16to 2 even from the foreigner who flatters with her words, 1

17who 2 and forgets the covenant of her God; 1

18for 2 her paths to the departed spirits. 1

19None 2 neither do they attain to the paths of life. 1

20Therefore 2 and keep the paths of the righteous. 1

21For 2 The perfect will remain in it. 1

22But 2 The treacherous will be rooted out of it.
