Hosea 13
1When 2 He exalted himself in Israel, 2 but when he became guilty through Baal, he died. 1

3Therefore 2 like the dew that passes away early, 2 like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, 2 and like the smoke out of the chimney. 1
4“ Yet 2 and you shall acknowledge no god but me, 2 and besides me there is no savior. 1
5I 2 in the land of great drought. 1
6According 2 they were filled, and their heart was exalted. 2 Therefore they have forgotten me. 1
7Therefore 2 Like a leopard, I will lurk by the path. 1
8I 2 and will tear the covering of their heart. 2 There I will devour them like a lioness. 2 The wild animal will tear them. 1
9You 2 against your helper. 1
10Where is 2 And your judges, of whom you said, ‘ Give me a king and princes’? 1
11I 2 and have taken him away in my wrath. 1

14I 2 I will redeem them from death! 2 Death, where are your plagues? 2 Sheol, where is your destruction? 1 “ Compassion will be hidden from my eyes. 2
15Though 2 the breath of the LORD coming up from the wilderness; 2 and his spring will become dry, 2 and his fountain will be dried up. 2 He will plunder the storehouse of treasure. 1
16Samaria will bear her guilt, 2 for she has rebelled against her God. 2 They will fall by the sword. 2 Their infants will be dashed in pieces, 2 and their pregnant women will be ripped open.”
