Amos 6
1Woe 2 and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, 2 the notable men of the chief of the nations, 2 to whom the house of Israel come! 1
2Go 2 From there go to Hamath the great. 2 Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. 1 Are they better than these kingdoms? 2 Is their border greater than your border? 1
3Alas for 2 and cause the seat of violence to come near, 2
4who lie 2 and stretch themselves on their couches, 2 and eat the lambs out of the flock, 2 and the calves out of the middle of the stall, 2
5who 2 who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David; 2
6who 2 and anoint themselves with the best oils, 2 but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. 1
7Therefore 2 The feasting and lounging will end. 1
8“ The 2 “ I abhor the pride of Jacob, 2 and detest his fortresses. 2 Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it. 1
