Micah 7
1Misery is 2 Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vineyard. 2 There is no cluster of grapes to eat. 2 My soul desires to eat the early fig. 1
2The 2 and there is no one upright amongst men. 2 They all lie in wait for blood; 2 every man hunts his brother with a net. 1
3Their 2 The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. 1 The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. 2 Thus they conspire together. 1
4The 2 The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. 1 The day of your watchmen, 2 even your visitation, has come; 2 now is the time of their confusion. 1
5Don’t trust in 2 Don’t put confidence in a friend. 2 With the woman lying in your embrace, 2 be careful of the words of your mouth! 1
6For 2 the daughter rises up against her mother, 2 the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 2 a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. 1
7But 2 I will wait for the God of my salvation. 2 My God will hear me. 1
8Don’t rejoice 2 When I fall, I will arise. 2 When I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me. 1
9I 2 because I have sinned against him, 2 until he pleads my case and executes judgement for me. 2 He will bring me out to the light. 2 I will see his righteousness. 1
10Then 2 and shame will cover her who said to me, 2 “Where is the LORD your God?” 1 My eyes will see her. 2 Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets. 1
11A 2 In that day, he will extend your boundary. 1
12In 2 and from Egypt even to the River, 2 and from sea to sea, 2 and mountain to mountain. 1
13Yet 2 for the fruit of their doings. 1
14Shepherd 2 the flock of your heritage, 2 who dwell by themselves in a forest. 1 Let them feed in the middle of fertile pasture land, 2 in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. 1
15“ As 2 I will show them marvellous things.” 1
16The 2 They will lay their hand on their mouth. 2 Their ears will be deaf. 1
17They 2 Like crawling things of the earth, they will come trembling out of their dens. 2 They will come with fear to the LORD our God, 2 and will be afraid because of you. 1
18Who 2 and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? 1 He doesn’t retain his anger forever, 2 because he delights in loving kindness. 1
19He 2 He will tread our iniquities under foot. 2 You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 1
20You 2 and mercy to Abraham, 2 as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
