Song of Solomon 1
The 1
Let him 1 For thy love is better than wine. 1
Thine oils 1 Thy name is as oil poured forth; 1 Therefore do the virgins love thee. 1
Draw 1 The king hath brought me into his chambers; 1 We will be glad and rejoice in thee; 1 We will make mention of thy love more than of wine: 1 Rightly do they love thee. 1
I am black 1 O ye daughters of Jerusalem, 1 As the tents of Kedar, 1 As the curtains of Solomon. 1
Look 1 Because the sun hath scorched me. 1 My mother’s sons were incensed against me; 1 They made me keeper of the vineyards; 1 But mine own vineyard have I not kept. 1
Tell 1 Where thou feedest thy flock, 1 Where thou makest it to rest at noon: 1 For why should I be as one that is veiled 1 Beside the flocks of thy companions? 1
If thou 1 Go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, 1 And feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents. 1
I 1 To a steed in Pharaoh’s chariots. 1
Thy cheeks 1 Thy neck with strings of jewels. 1
We 1 With studs of silver. 1
While 1 My spikenard sent forth its fragrance. 1
My beloved 1 That lieth betwixt my breasts. 1
My beloved 1 In the vineyards of En-gedi. 1
Behold 1 Behold thou art fair; 1 Thine eyes are as doves. 1
Behold 1 Also our couch is green. 1
The 1 And our rafters are firs.
