Malachi 2

And now, O ye kohanim, this mitzvah is for you: 1

If ye will not hear, 1 and if ye will not take it to lev, 1 to give kavod unto My name, 1 saith Hashem Tzva'os, 1 I will even send a me'erah (curse) upon you, 1 and I will curse your brakhot; yea, 1 I have cursed them already, 1 because ye do not take it to lev. 1

Hineni, I am rebuking your zera, 1 and I will spread dung upon your faces, 1 even the dung of your chagim; 1 and it will take you away with it. 1

And ye shall have da'as 1 that I have sent this mitzvah unto you, 1 that My brit might continue with Levi, 1 saith Hashem Tzva'os. 1

My brit was with him of chayyim and shalom; 1 and I gave them to him 1 that he might fear Me; so he feared Me, 1 and stood in reverence before My name. 1

Torat emes was in his mouth, 1 and iniquity was not found on his lips: 1 he walked with Me in shalom and yashrus, 1 and did turn rabbim (many) away from avon (iniquity). 1

For the kohenʼs lips should preserve da'as, 1 and they should seek torah at his mouth: 1 for he is the malach Hashem Tzva'os. 1

But ye are departed out of HaDerech; 1 ye have caused rabbim to fall into a michshol (stumbling block) at the torah (teaching); 1 ye have corrupted the Brit of Levi, 1 saith Hashem Tzva'os. 1

Therefore have I also made you 1 contemptible and shefalim before kol HaAm 1 because ye have not been shomrim of darkhei of Me, 1 but have shown partiality in torah. 1

Have we not all Av Echad? 1 Hath not El Echad created us? 1 Why do we commit chillul Brit Avoteinu 1 by every man breaking faith with his brother? 1

Yehudah hath broken faith, 1 and a toeva (abomination) is committed 1 in Yisroel and in Yerushalayim; 1 for Yehudah hath committed chillul against 1 the Beis Hamikdash Hashem loves, 1 by marrying the bat el nekhar. 1

May Hashem cut off from the ohalim of Ya'akov the man that doeth this, 1 being awake and aware, 1 yet who offereth a minchah unto Hashem Tzva'os. 1

And this too have ye done, 1 covering the mizbe'ach of Hashem with tears, 1 with weeping, and with crying out, 1 because that He regardeth not the minchah any more, 1 nor receiveth it with ratzon (good will) at your hand. 1

Yet ye say: Wherefore? 1 Because Hashem hath been ed (witness) 1 between thee and the wife of thy youth, 1 against whom thou hast dealt treacherously, breaking faith: 1 yet is she thy chaveret, 1 and the wife of thy brit. 1

And did not Hashem make echad? 1 And the remnant of the ruach is Hashemʼs. 1 And why echad? 1 That He might seek zera Elohim. 1 Therefore be shomer of your ruach, 1 and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. 1

For Hashem Elohei Yisroel saith 1 that He hateth putting away: 1 for it covereth oneʼs garment with chamas (violence), 1 saith the Hashem Tzva'os: 1 therefore, be shomer of your ruach, 1 that ye deal not treacherously, breaking faith. 1

Ye have wearied Hashem with your devarim. 1 Yet ye say: Wherein have we wearied Him? 1 When ye say: Everyone that doeth rah 1 is tov in the sight of Hashem, 1 and in them Hashem finds chafetz; 1 or: Where is Elohei HaMishpat?
