Job 24
1“ Why 2 Why don’t those who know him see his days? 1
2There are 2 They violently take away flocks, and feed them. 1

4They 2 The poor of the earth all hide themselves. 1
5Behold 2 they go out to their work, seeking diligently for food. 1 The wilderness yields them bread for their children. 2

8They are 1 and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter. 2
9There are 1 and take a pledge of the poor, 2
10so 2 Being hungry, they carry the sheaves. 1
11They 2 They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst. 1
12From 2 The soul of the wounded cries out, 2 yet God doesn’t regard the folly. 1
13“ These 2 They don’t know its ways, 2 nor stay in its paths. 1
14The 2 He kills the poor and needy. 2 In the night he is like a thief. 1
15The 2 saying, ‘ No eye will see me.’ 2 He disguises his face. 1
16In 2 They shut themselves up in the daytime. 2 They don’t know the light. 1
17For 2 for they know the terrors of the thick darkness. 1
