1Then 1

2“ Can 2 Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself. 1

3Is 2 Or does it benefit him that you make your ways perfect? 1

4Is 2 that he enters with you into judgment? 1

5Isn’t your 2 Neither is there any end to your iniquities. 1

6For 2 and stripped the naked of their clothing. 1

7You 2 and you have withheld bread from the hungry. 1

8But as 2 The honorable man, he lived in it. 1

9You 2 and the arms of the fatherless have been broken. 1

10Therefore 2 Sudden fear troubles you, 1

11or 2 and floods of waters cover you. 1

12“Isn’t God 2 See the height of the stars, how high they are! 1

13You 2 Can he judge through the thick darkness? 1

14Thick 2 He walks on the vault of the sky.’ 1

15Will 2 which wicked men have trodden, 1

16who 2 whose foundation was poured out as a stream, 1

17who 2 and, ‘ What can the Almighty do for us?’ 1

18Yet he 2 but the counsel of the wicked is far from me. 1

19The 2 The innocent ridicule them, 1

20saying, ‘ Surely 2 The fire has consumed their remnant.’ 1

21“ Acquaint 2 By it, good will come to you. 1

22Please 2 and lay up his words in your heart. 1

23If you 2 if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents. 1

24Lay 2 the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. 1

25The 2 and precious silver to you. 1

26For 2 and will lift up your face to God. 1

27You 2 You will pay your vows. 1

28You 2 Light will shine on your ways. 1

29When 2 He will save the humble person. 1

30He 2 Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”
