Job 34

Moreover Elihu answered 1

“ Hear 2 Give ear to me, you who have knowledge. 1

For 2 as the palate tastes food. 1

Let us 2 Let us know among ourselves what is good. 1

For 2 God has taken away my right. 1

Notwithstanding my 2 My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’ 1

What 2 who drinks scorn like water, 1

who goes in 2 and walks with wicked men? 1

For 2 that he should delight himself with God.’ 1

“ Therefore 2 far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, 2 from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. 1

For 2 and cause every man to find according to his ways. 1

Yes surely 2 neither will the Almighty pervert justice. 1

Who 2 Or who has appointed him over the whole world? 1

If 2 if he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath, 1

all 2 and man would turn again to dust. 1

“If now 2 Listen to the voice of my words. 1

Should even one 2 Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty, 1

who 2 or to nobles, ‘ Wicked!’? 1

He 2 nor respect the rich more than the poor, 2 for they all are the work of his hands. 1

In 2 The people are shaken and pass away. 2 The mighty are taken away without a hand. 1

“ For 2 He sees all his goings. 1

There 2 where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. 1

For 2 that he should go before God in judgment. 1

He 2 and sets others in their place. 1

Therefore 2 He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed. 1

He 2 in the open sight of others; 1

because 2 and wouldn’t pay attention to any of his ways, 1

so 2 He heard the cry of the afflicted. 1

When 2 When he hides his face, who then can see him? 2 He is over a nation or a man alike, 1

that 2 that there be no one to ensnare the people. 1

“ For 2 ‘ I am guilty, but I will not offend any more. 1

Teach 2 If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’? 1

Shall 2 For you must choose, and not I. 2 Therefore speak what you know. 1

Men 2 yes, every wise man who hears me: 1

‘ Job 2 His words are without wisdom.’ 1

I 2 because of his answering like wicked men. 1

For 2 He claps his hands among us, 2 and multiplies his words against God.”
