Psalms 69

1Save me 2 for the waters have come up to my neck! 1

2I 2 I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. 1

3I am weary with 2 My throat is dry. 2 My eyes fail looking for my God. 1

4Those who 2 Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. 2 I have to restore what I didn’t take away. 1

5God 2 My sins aren’t hidden from you. 1

6Don’t let 2 Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel. 1

7Because for 2 Shame has covered my face. 1

8I 2 an alien to my mother’s children. 1

9For 2 The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me. 1

10When 2 that was to my reproach. 1

11When 2 I became a byword to them. 1

12Those 2 I am the song of the drunkards. 1

13But as 2 God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation. 1

14Deliver me 2 Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters. 1

15Don’t let the 2 neither let the deep swallow me up. 2 Don’t let the pit shut its mouth on me. 1

16Answer me 2 According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me. 1

17Don’t hide your 2 for I am in distress. 2 Answer me speedily! 1

18Draw near 2 Ransom me because of my enemies. 1

19You 2 My adversaries are all before you. 1

20Reproach 2 I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; 2 for comforters, but I found none. 1

21They 2 In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. 1

22Let 2 May it become a retribution and a trap. 1

23Let 2 Let their backs be continually bent. 1

24Pour out 2 Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them. 1

25Let their 2 Let no one dwell in their tents. 1

26For 2 They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt. 1

27Charge them 2 Don’t let them come into your righteousness. 1

28Let 2 and not be written with the righteous. 1

29But 2 Let your salvation, God, protect me. 1

30I 2 and will magnify him with thanksgiving. 1

31It 2 or a bull that has horns and hoofs. 1

32The 2 You who seek after God, let your heart live. 1

33For 2 and doesn’t despise his captive people. 1

34Let 2 the seas, and everything that moves therein! 1

35For 2 They shall settle there, and own it. 1

36The 2 Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
