Psalms 18

I 1

The 2 my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; 2 my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. 1

I 2 and I am saved from my enemies. 1

The 2 The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. 1

The 2 The snares of death came on me. 1

In 2 and cried to my God. 1 He heard my voice out of his temple. 2 My cry before him came into his ears. 1

Then 2 The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, 2 because he was angry. 1

Smoke went out 2 Consuming fire came out of his mouth. 2 Coals were kindled by it. 1

He 2 Thick darkness was under his feet. 1

He 2 Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind. 1

He 2 darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies. 1

At 2 hailstones and coals of fire. 1

The 2 The Most High uttered his voice: 2 hailstones and coals of fire. 1

He 2 He routed them with great lightning bolts. 1

Then 2 The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, 2 at the blast of the breath of your nostrils. 1

He 2 He took me. 2 He drew me out of many waters. 1

He 2 from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me. 1

They 2 but the LORD was my support. 1

He 2 He delivered me, because he delighted in me. 1

The 2 According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me. 1

For 2 and have not wickedly departed from my God. 1

For 2 I didn’t put away his statutes from me. 1

I 2 I kept myself from my iniquity. 1

Therefore 2 according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. 1

With 2 With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect. 1

With 2 With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd. 1

For 2 but the arrogant eyes you will bring down. 1

For 2 My God will light up my darkness. 1

For 2 By my God, I leap over a wall. 1

As 2 The LORD’s word is tried. 2 He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. 1

For 2 Who is a rock, besides our God, 2

the 1

He 2 and sets me on my high places. 1

He 2 so that my arms bend a bow of bronze. 1

You 2 Your right hand sustains me. 2 Your gentleness has made me great. 1

You 2 My feet have not slipped. 1

I 2 I won’t turn away until they are consumed. 1

I 2 They shall fall under my feet. 1

For 2 You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. 1

You 2 that I might cut off those who hate me. 1

They 2 even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them. 1

Then 2 I cast them out as the mire of the streets. 1

You 2 You have made me the head of the nations. 1 A people whom I have not known shall serve me. 2

As 2 The foreigners shall submit themselves to me. 1

The 2 and shall come trembling out of their strongholds. 1

The 2 Exalted be the God of my salvation, 1

even 2 and subdues peoples under me. 1

He 2 Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. 2 You deliver me from the violent man. 1

Therefore I 2 and will sing praises to your name. 1

He 2 and shows loving kindness to his anointed, 2 to David and to his offspring, + 18:50 or, seed forever more.
