Isaiah 43

1But 2 and he who formed you, Israel, says: 1 “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. 2 I have called you by your name. 2 You are mine. 1

2When 2 and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. 1 When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, 2 and flame will not scorch you. 1

3For 2 the Holy One of Israel, 2 your Savior. 1 I have given Egypt as your ransom, 2 Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 1

4Since you 2 and I have loved you, 2 therefore I will give people in your place, 2 and nations instead of your life. 1

5Don’t be 2 I will bring your offspring from the east, 2 and gather you from the west. 1

6I 2 and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! 2 Bring my sons from far away, 2 and my daughters from the ends of the earth— 1

7everyone 2 and whom I have created for my glory, 2 whom I have formed, 2 yes, whom I have made.’” 1

8Bring 2 and the deaf who have ears. 1

9Let 2 and let the peoples be assembled. 1 Who among them can declare this, 2 and show us former things? 1 Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified, 2 or let them hear, and say, “ That is true.” 1

10“ You 2 “ With my servant whom I have chosen; 2 that you may know and believe me, 2 and understand that I am he. 1 Before me there was no God formed, 2 neither will there be after me. 1

11I 2 Besides me, there is no savior. 1

12I 2 and there was no strange god among you. 1 Therefore you are my witnesses”, 2 says the LORD, “ and I am God. 1

13Yes 2 There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. 2 I will work, and who can hinder it?”

17who brings 2 the army and the mighty man 2 ( they lie down together, they shall not rise; 2 they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick) says: 1

18“Don’t remember 2 and don’t consider the things of old. 1

19Behold 2 It springs out now. 2 Don’t you know it? 1 I will even make a way in the wilderness, 2 and rivers in the desert. 1

20The 2 because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, 2 to give drink to my people, my chosen, 2

21the 2 that they might declare my praise. 1

22Yet 2 but you have been weary of me, Israel. 1

23You 2 neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. 1 I have not burdened you with offerings, 2 nor wearied you with frankincense. 1

24You 2 nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices, 1 but you have burdened me with your sins. 2 You have wearied me with your iniquities. 1

25I 2 and I will not remember your sins. 1

26Put 2 Let us plead together. 1 Declare your case, 2 that you may be justified. 1

27Your 2 and your teachers have transgressed against me. 1

28Therefore I 2 and I will make Jacob a curse, 2 and Israel an insult.”
