Hosea 6
Come, and let us return unto the Lord: 1 For he hath torn, and he will heal us; 1 He hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 1
After two days will he revive us: 1 In the third day he will raise us up, 1 And we shall live in his sight. 1
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: 1 His going forth is prepared as the morning; 1 And he shall come unto us as the rain, 1 As the latter and former rain unto the earth. 1
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? 1 O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? 1 For your goodness is as a morning cloud, 1 And as the early dew it goeth away. 1
Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; 1 I have slain them by the words of my mouth: 1 And thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 1
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; 1 And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 1
But they like men have transgressed the covenant: 1 There have they dealt treacherously against me. 1
Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, 1 And is polluted with blood. 1
And as troops of robbers wait for a man, 1 So the company of priests murder in the way by consent: 1 For they commit lewdness. 1
I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: 1 There is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. 1
Also, O Judah, he hath set a harvest for thee, 1 When I returned the captivity of my people.
