1Contend 2 Fight against those who fight against me. 1
2Take 2 and stand up for my help. 1
3Brandish the 2 Tell my soul, “ I am your salvation.” 1
4Let 2 Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded. 1
5Let 2 the LORD’s angel driving them on. 1
6Let 2 the LORD’s angel pursuing them. 1
7For 2 Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul. 1
8Let 2 Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. 2 Let him fall into that destruction. 1
9My 2 It shall rejoice in his salvation. 1
10All 2 who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; 2 yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?” 1
11Unrighteous 2 They ask me about things that I don’t know about. 1
12They 2 to the bereaving of my soul. 1
13But 2 I afflicted my soul with fasting. 2 My prayer returned into my own bosom. 1
14I 2 I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother. 1
15But 2 The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. 2 They tore at me, and didn’t cease. 1
16Like 2 they gnashed their teeth at me. 1
17Lord, how 2 Rescue my soul from their destruction, 2 my precious life from the lions. 1
18I 2 I will praise you amongst many people. 1
19Don’t let 2 neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes. 1
20For 2 but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land. 1
21Yes 2 They said, “ Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!” 1
22You 2 Lord, don’t be far from me. 1
23Wake 2 My Lord, contend for me! 1
24Vindicate 2 Don’t let them gloat over me. 1
25Don’t let 2 Don’t let them say, “ We have swallowed him up!” 1
26Let 2 Let them be clothed with shame and dishonour who magnify themselves against me. 1
27Let 2 Yes, let them say continually, “ May the LORD be magnified, 2 who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!” 1
