Psalms 45
1My 2 I recite my verses for the king. 2 My tongue is like the pen of a skilful writer. 1
2You 2 Grace has anointed your lips, 2 therefore God has blessed you forever. 1
3Strap your 2 in your splendour and your majesty. 1
4In 2 Let your right hand display awesome deeds. 1
5Your 2 The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies. 1
6Your 2 A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of your kingdom. 1
7You 2 Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows. 1
8All 2 Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made you glad. 1
9Kings’ daughters are 2 At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir. 1
10Listen, daughter 2 Forget your own people, and also your father’s house. 2
11So 2 honour him, for he is your lord. 1
12The 2 The rich amongst the people entreat your favour. 1
13The 2 Her clothing is interwoven with gold. 1
14She shall 2 The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you. 1
15With 2 They shall enter into the king’s palace. 1
16Your 2 You shall make them princes in all the earth. 1
17I 2 Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever.
