Song of Solomon 6
Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? 1 Whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee. 1
My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, 1 To feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. 1
I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: 1 He feedeth among the lilies. 1
Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, 1 Comely as Jerusalem, 1 Terrible as an army with banners. 1
Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: 1 Thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead. 1
Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, 1 Whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them. 1
As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples within thy locks. 1
There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, 1 And virgins without number. 1
My dove, my undefiled is but one; 1 She is the only one of her mother, 1 She is the choice one of her that bare her. 1 The daughters saw her, and blessed her; 1 Yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. 1
Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, 1 Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, 1 And terrible as an army with banners? 1
I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, 1 And to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded. 1
Or ever I was aware, 1 My soul made me like the chariots of Ammi-nadib. 1
Return, return, O Shulamite; 1 Return, return, that we may look upon thee. 1 What will ye see in the Shulamite? 1 As it were the company of two armies.
