Micah 2
Hoy (Woe) to them that devise aven (iniquity), 1 and plot rah (evil) upon their mishkavim (beds)! 1 At ohr haboker they carry it out, 1 because it is in the power of their hand. 1
And they covet sadot, and seize them; 1 and batim (houses), and take them away; 1 so they oppress a man and his bais, 1 even a man and his nachalah (inheritance). 1
Therefore thus saith Hashem: 1 Hineni, against this mishpochah do I plan a ra'ah, 1 from which ye shall not remove your tzavarot (necks); 1 neither shall ye walk haughtily; 1 for an et ra'ah (time of evil) it is. 1
In Yom HaHu shall one take up a mashal against you, 1 and lament with a doleful lamentation, 1 and say: We are utterly ruined; 1 He ( Hashem ) hath changed the chelek of Ami (my People); 1 how hath He ( Hashem ) removed it from me! 1 To the shovev (faithless, apostate) He ( Hashem ) apportions our sadot. 1
Therefore thou shalt have none that shall divide 1 for you the land by lot in the Kahal Hashem. 1
Preach ye not, they preach; 1 but if they + 2:6 Hashem ʼs nevi'im do not preach concerning these things, 1 kellimot (disgraces, reproaches) will not be turned back. + 2:6 Ezek 3:18 1
O thou that art named Bais Ya'akov, is the Ruach + 2:7 Hakodesh of Hashem angry? 1 Are these His doings? 1 Do not My words do good to him that walketh uprightly? 1
Even of late Ami is risen up as an oyev (enemy); 1 ye pull off the cloak from the garment 1 from them that pass by securely as men averse to milchamah (war). 1
The women of Ami have ye cast out from their pleasant homes; 1 from their ollalim have ye taken away My glory l'olam. 1
Arise ye, and depart; 1 for this is not the menuchah (the place of rest); 1 because of the tameah (defilement) that brings sore destruction. 1
If a man, walking after the wind and sheker, do lie, saying: 1 I will prophesy unto thee of yayin and of strong drink; 1 he shall even be the mattif (preacher) of Am HaZeh (this people). 1
I will surely assemble, O Ya'akov, all of thee; 1 I will surely gather the She'erit Yisroel; 1 I will put them together like the tzon of the pen, 1 like the eder (flock) in the meadow; 1 they shall throng with people. 1
The one who breaks through comes up before them; 1 they break through, and pass through the sha'ar, 1 and go out by it; 1 and their Melech + 2:13 Moshiach, Hos 3:5 goes before them, 1 and Hashem at their head.
