Micah 4
But in the acharit hayamim (the last days) it shall come to pass, 1 that the Har Beis Hashem shall be established 1 as the rosh heharim (chief of mountains), 1 and it shall be exalted above the hills; 1 and amim (peoples) shall stream unto it. 1
And Goyim rabbim shall come, and say: 1 Come, and let us go up to the Har Hashem, 1 and to the Beis Elohei Ya'akov; 1 and He ( Hashem ) will be moreinu of His drakhim (ways), 1 and we will walk in His orkhot (ways); 1 for torah shall go forth from Tziyon, 1 and the Devar Hashem from Yerushalayim. 1
And He shall judge among amim rabbim, 1 and Hashem will be mochiach (arbitrator) for Goyim atzumim afar off; 1 and they shall beat their charavot (swords) into plow blades, 1 and their khanitot (spears) into pruning knives; 1 And Goy el Goy (nation against nation) will not take up cherev (sword), 1 neither shall they learn milchamah (war) any more. 1
But they shall sit every man 1 under his gefen (vine) and under his te'enah (fig tree); 1 and none shall make them afraid; 1 for the mouth of Hashem Tzva'os hath spoken. 1
For Kol HaAmmim will walk 1 every one b'shem Elohav, 1 and we will walk b'shem Hashem 1 Eloheinu l'olam va'ed. 1
In Yom HaHu, saith Hashem, 1 will I gather that which is lame, 1 and I will gather those which have been thrust out, 1 and those that I have afflicted; 1
And I will make that which is lame a She'erit (remnant), 1 v'hannahala'ah (and that which is far removed) a Goy atzum (mighty nation); 1 and Hashem shall reign over them in Har Tziyon 1 me'attah ve'ad olam (from henceforth, even for ever). 1
And thou, O migdal eder (tower of the flock), hill of Bat Tziyon, 1 unto thee shall it come, 1 even the hammemshalah harishonah (former dominion); 1 the mamlachah (kingdom) shall come to Bat Yerushalayim. 1
Now why dost thou cry out aloud? 1 Is there no melech in thee? 1 Is thy yo'eitz (counselor) perished? 1 For pangs have taken thee like a woman in labor. 1
Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O Bat Tziyon, 1 like a woman in labor; 1 for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, 1 and thou shalt dwell in the sadeh, 1 and thou shalt go even to Babylon; 1 there shalt thou be rescued; 1 there Hashem shall redeem thee 1 from the hand of thine oyvim (enemies). 1
Now also Goyim rabbim are gathered against thee, 1 that say: Let her be profaned and desecrated, 1 and let our eye gloat over Tziyon. 1
But they have no da'as of the machshevot Hashem (thoughts of Hashem ), 1 neither have they binah (understanding) of His etzah (divine plan); 1 for He shall gather them like the sheaves into the threshing floor. 1
Arise and thresh, O Bat Tziyon; 1 for I will make thine keren (horn) barzel (iron), 1 and I will make thy hooves bronze; 1 and thou shalt beat in pieces amim rabbim; 1 and I will devote unto Hashem as cherem their ill-gotten gains, 1 and their wealth unto Adon Kol HaAretz. + 4:13 T.N. Moshiach is called this in Mal 3:1 1
Now gather thyself in troops, O Bat Gedud (Daughter of Troops); + 4:14 i.e., warlike Yerushalayim 1 a matzor (siege) hath been laid against us; 1 they shall strike the Shofet Yisroel 1 with a rod upon the cheek. + 4:14 See The Besuras HaGeulah According to Mt 27:30
