Isaiah 26
In 1 “ We have a strong city. 2 God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks. 1
Open 2 the one which keeps faith. 1
You 2 because he trusts in you. 1
Trust in 2 for in the LORD, the LORD, is an everlasting Rock. 1
For 2 He lays it low. 2 He lays it low even to the ground. 2 He brings it even to the dust. 1
The 2 even the feet of the poor 2 and the steps of the needy.” 1
The 2 You who are upright make the path of the righteous level. 1
Yes, in 2 Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul. 1
With 2 Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; 2 for when your judgments are on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. 1
Let favor 2 yet he will not learn righteousness. 1 In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, 2 and will not see the LORD’s majesty. 1
LORD 2 but they will see your zeal for the people and be disappointed. 2 Yes, fire will consume your adversaries. 1
LORD 2 for you have also done all our work for us. 1
LORD 2 but we will only acknowledge your name. 1
The 2 The departed spirits shall not rise. 1 Therefore you have visited and destroyed them, 2 and caused all memory of them to perish. 1
You 2 You have increased the nation! 1 You are glorified! 2 You have enlarged all the borders of the land. 1
LORD 2 They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them. 1
Just as 2 is in pain and cries out in her pangs, 2 so we have been before you, LORD. 1
We 2 We have been in pain. 1 We gave birth, it seems, only to wind. 2 We have not worked any deliverance on the earth; 2 neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 1
Your 2 Their dead bodies shall arise. 1 Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; 2 for your dew is like the dew of herbs, 2 and the earth will cast out the departed spirits. 1
Come 2 and shut your doors behind you. 1 Hide yourself for a little moment, 2 until the indignation is past. 1
For 2 The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.
