Psalms 31
1In 2 Let me never be disappointed. 2 Deliver me in your righteousness. 1
2Bow down your 2 Deliver me speedily. 1 Be to me a strong rock, 2 a house of defense to save me. 1
3For 2 therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. 1
4Pluck me 2 for you are my stronghold. 1
5Into 2 You redeem me, Yahweh, God of truth. 1
6I 2 but I trust in Yahweh. 1
7I 2 for you have seen my affliction. 2 You have known my soul in adversities. 1
8You 2 You have set my feet in a large place. 1
9Have 2 My eye, my soul, and my body waste away with grief. 1
10For 2 my years with sighing. 1 My strength fails because of my iniquity. 2 My bones are wasted away. 1
11Because 2 a horror to my acquaintances. 2 Those who saw me on the street fled from me. 1
12I 2 I am like broken pottery. 1
13For 2 while they conspire together against me, 2 they plot to take away my life. 1
14But 2 I said, “ You are my God.” 1
15My 2 Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. 1
16Make 2 Save me in your loving kindness. 1
17Let me 2 Let the wicked be disappointed. 2 Let them be silent in Sheol. + 31:17 Sheol is the place of the dead. 1
18Let the 2 which speak against the righteous insolently, with pride and contempt. 1
19Oh how great is 2 which you have laid up for those who fear you, 2 which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, 2 before the sons of men! 1
20In 2 You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues. 1
21Praise be 2 for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a strong city. 1
22As 2 Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you. 1
23Oh love Yahweh 2 Yahweh preserves the faithful, 1 and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly. 1
24Be 2 all you who hope in Yahweh.
