Psalms 42
1As 2 so my soul pants after you, God. + 42:1 The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “ אֱלֹהִ֑ים” (Elohim). 1
2My 2 When shall I come and appear before God? 1
3My 2 while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?” 1
4These 2 how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to God’s house, 2 with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day. 1
5Why 2 Why are you disturbed within me? 1 Hope in God! 2 For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence. 1
6My 2 Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, 2 the heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar. 1
7Deep calls to 2 All your waves and your billows have swept over me. 1
8Yahweh 2 In the night his song shall be with me: 2 a prayer to the God of my life. 1
9I 2 Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” 1
10As with 2 while they continually ask me, “ Where is your God?” 1
11Why are 2 Why are you disturbed within me? 1 Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, 2 the saving help of my countenance, and my God.
