Hosea 14
Shomron shall bear guilt; 1 for she hath rebelled against her Elohim; 1 they shall fall by the cherev; 1 their olalim shall be dashed in pieces, 1 and their women with child shall be ripped open. 1
O Yisroel, return unto Hashem Eloheicha; 1 for thy downfall hast been thine avon (iniquity). 1
Take devarim (words) with you, 1 and turn to Hashem; 1 say unto Him: Take away avon (iniquity), 1 and receive us graciously 1 that we may render the sacrifices of our lips. + 14:3 MJ 13:15 1
Assyria shall not save us; 1 we will not ride upon susim; 1 neither will we say any more to the work of our hands: 1 Ye are Eloheinu; 1 for in Thee the yatom (orphan) findeth compassion. 1
I will heal their meshuvah (backsliding); 1 I will love them freely; 1 for Mine anger is turned away from him. 1
I will be as the tal (dew) unto Yisroel: 1 he shall blossom as the lily, 1 and strike root as Levanon. 1
His branches shall spread, 1 and his beauty shall be as the zayit (olive tree), 1 and his hod (splendor) as Levanon. 1
They that dwell under his tzel (shade) shall return; 1 they shall revive as the dagan, and grow as the gefen; 1 the remembrance thereof shall be as the yayin of Levanon. 1
Ephrayim shall say, What have I to do any more with atzabim? 1 It is I who answer and look after him; 1 I am like an evergreen cypress. 1 From Me is thy p'ri found. 1
Who is chacham, and he shall have binah of these things? 1 Prudent, and he shall know them? 1 For the Darkhei Hashem are right, 1 and the tzaddikim shall walk in them; 1 but the poshe'im (transgressors) shall fall therein.
