Job 31
I 1 How then should I look upon a virgin? 1
For 1 And the heritage from the Almighty on high? 1
Is 1 And disaster to the workers of iniquity? 1
Doth not 1 And number all my steps? 1
If I 1 And my foot hath hasted to deceit 1
(Let me 1 That God may know mine integrity); 1
If my 1 And my heart walked after mine eyes, 1 And if any spot hath clave to my hands: 1
Then let me sow 1 Yea, let the produce of my field be rooted out. 1
If my 1 And I have laid wait at my neighbor’s door; 1
Then let my 1 And let others bow down upon her. 1
For 1 Yea, it were an iniquity to be punished by the judges: 1
For 1 And would root out all mine increase. 1
If I 1 When they contended with me; 1
What 1 And when he visiteth, what shall I answer him? 1
Did 1 And did not one fashion us in the womb? 1
If I 1 Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, 1
Or 1 And the fatherless hath not eaten thereof 1
(Nay, from my 1 And her have I guided from my mother’s womb); 1
If 1 Or that the needy had no covering; 1
If 1 And if he hath not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep; 1
If 1 Because I saw my help in the gate: 1
Then 1 And mine arm be broken from the bone. 1
For 1 And by reason of his majesty I can do nothing. 1
If 1 And have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence; 1
If 1 And because my hand had gotten much; 1
If 1 Or the moon walking in brightness, 1
And 1 And my mouth hath kissed my hand: 1
This 1 For I should have denied the God that is above. 1
If 1 Or lifted up myself when evil found him 1
(Yea, I 1 By asking his life with a curse); 1
If the 1 Who can find one that hath not been filled with his meat? 1
( The 1 But I have opened my doors to the traveler); 1
If like 1 By hiding mine iniquity in my bosom, 1
Because 1 And the contempt of families terrified me, 1 So that I kept silence, and went not out of the door— 1
Oh 1 ( Lo, here is my signature, let the Almighty answer me) 1 And that I had the indictment which mine adversary hath written! 1
Surely 1 I would bind it unto me as a crown: 1
I 1 As a prince would I go near unto him. 1
If my 1 And the furrows thereof weep together; 1
If I 1 Or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life: 1
Let thistles 1 And cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
