Job 41
Canst thou draw out 1 Or press down his tongue with a cord? 1
Canst thou 1 Or pierce his jaw through with a hook? 1
Will 1 Or will he speak soft words unto thee? 1
Will 1 That thou shouldest take him for a servant forever? 1
Wilt thou 1 Or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? 1
Will 1 Will they part him among the merchants? 1
Canst thou fill his 1 Or his head with fish-spears? 1
Lay thy hand upon 1 Remember the battle, and do so no more. 1
Behold 1 Will not one be cast down even at the sight of him? 1
None is 1 Who then is he that can stand before me? 1
Who 1 Whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine. 1
I 1 Nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame. 1
Who 1 Who shall come within his jaws? 1
Who can open 1 Round about his teeth is terror. 1
His strong 1 Shut up together as with a close seal. 1
One is 1 That no air can come between them. 1
They 1 They stick together, so that they cannot be sundered. 1
His 1 And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. 1
Out 1 And sparks of fire leap forth. 1
Out 1 As of a boiling pot and burning rushes. 1
His 1 And a flame goeth forth from his mouth. 1
In 1 And terror danceth before him. 1
The 1 They are firm upon him; they cannot be moved. 1
His 1 Yea, firm as the nether millstone. 1
When 1 By reason of consternation they are beside themselves. 1
If 1 Nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft. 1
He counteth iron as straw, 1 And brass as rotten wood. 1
The arrow cannot make him flee: 1 Slingstones are turned with him into stubble. 1
Clubs are counted as stubble: 1 He laugheth at the rushing of the javelin. 1
His underparts are like sharp potsherds: 1 He spreadeth as it were a threshing wain upon the mire. 1
He maketh the deep to boil like a 1 He maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. 1
He maketh a 1 One would think the deep to be hoary. 1
Upon earth there is not his like, 1 That is made without fear. 1
He beholdeth everything that is high: 1 He is king over all the sons of pride.
