Psalms 55
1Give ear to 1 And hide not thyself from my supplication. 1
2Attend unto me, and 1 I am restless in my complaint, and moan, 1
3Because of 1 Because of the oppression of the wicked; 1 For they cast iniquity upon me, 1 And in anger they persecute me. 1
4My 1 And the terrors of death are fallen upon me. 1
5Fearfulness and 1 And horror hath overwhelmed me. 1
6And 1 Then would I fly away, and be at rest. 1
7Lo, then 1 I would lodge in the wilderness. Selah 1
8I 1 From the stormy wind and tempest. 1
9Destroy, O 1 For I have seen violence and strife in the city. 1
10Day and 1 Iniquity also and mischief are in the midst of it. 1
11Wickedness 1 Oppression and guile depart not from its streets. 1
12For 1 Then I could have borne it: 1 Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; 1 Then I would have hidden myself from him: 1
13But 1 My companion, and my familiar friend. 1
14We took 1 We walked in the house of God with the throng. 1
15Let 1 Let them go down alive into Sheol; 1 For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them. 1
16As 1 And Jehovah will save me. 1
17Evening, and 1 And he will hear my voice. 1
18He 1 For they were many that strove with me. 1
19God will 1 Even he that abideth of old, Selah 1 The men who have no changes, 1 And who fear not God. 1
20He 1 He hath profaned his covenant. 1
21His 1 But his heart was war: 1 His words were softer than oil, 1 Yet were they drawn swords. 1
22Cast thy 1 He will never suffer the righteous to be moved. 1
23But 1 Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; 1 But I will trust in thee.
