Psalms 140
1Deliver me, O 1 Preserve me from the violent man: 1
2Who 1 Continually do they gather themselves together for war. 1
3They 1 Adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah 1
4Keep me 1 Preserve me from the violent man: 1 Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps. 1
5The 1 They have spread a net by the wayside; 1 They have set gins for me. Selah 1
6I 1 Give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O Jehovah. 1
7O 1 Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. 1
8Grant not, O 1 Further not his evil device, lest they exalt themselves. Selah 1
9As 1 Let the mischief of their own lips cover them. 1
10Let burning coals fall upon them: 1 Let them be cast into the fire, 1 Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise. 1
11An 1 Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. 1
12I 1 And justice for the needy. 1
13Surely 1 The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
