Proverbs 11
A false balance is abomination to the Lord: 1 But a just weight is his delight. 1
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: 1 But with the lowly is wisdom. 1
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: 1 But the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. 1
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: 1 But righteousness delivereth from death. 1
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: 1 But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. 1
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: 1 But transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. 1
When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: 1 And the hope of unjust men perisheth. 1
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, 1 And the wicked cometh in his stead. 1
A hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: 1 But through knowledge shall the just be delivered. 1
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: 1 And when the wicked perish, there is shouting. 1
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: 1 But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. 1
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: 1 But a man of understanding holdeth his peace. 1
A talebearer revealeth secrets: 1 But he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. 1
Where no counsel is, the people fall: 1 But in the multitude of counsellers there is safety. 1
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: 1 And he that hateth suretiship is sure. 1
A gracious woman retaineth honour: 1 And strong men retain riches. 1
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: 1 But he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. 1
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: 1 But to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. 1
As righteousness tendeth to life: 1 So he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. 1
They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: 1 But such as are upright in their way are his delight. 1
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: 1 But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. 1
As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, 1 So is a fair woman which is without discretion. 1
The desire of the righteous is only good: 1 But the expectation of the wicked is wrath. 1
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; 1 And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 1
The liberal soul shall be made fat: 1 And he that watereth shall be watered also himself. 1
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: 1 But blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. 1
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: 1 But he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. 1
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: 1 But the righteous shall flourish as a branch. 1
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: 1 And the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. 1
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; 1 And he that winneth souls is wise. 1
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: 1 Much more the wicked and the sinner.
