Proverbs 26

1As 1 So honor is not seemly for a fool. 1

2As 1 So the curse that is causeless alighteth not. 1

3A 1 And a rod for the back of fools. 1

4Answer 1 Lest thou also be like unto him. 1

5Answer 1 Lest he be wise in his own conceit. 1

6He 1 Cutteth off his own feet, and drinketh in damage. 1

7The 1 So is a parable in the mouth of fools. 1

8As 1 So is he that giveth honor to a fool. 1

9As a 1 So is a parable in the mouth of fools. 1

10As an 1 So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by. 1

11As 1 So is a fool that repeateth his folly. 1

12Seest 1 There is more hope of a fool than of him. 1

13The 1 A lion is in the streets. 1

14As the 1 So doth the sluggard upon his bed. 1

15The 1 It wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth. 1

16The 1 Than seven men that can render a reason. 1

17He 1 Is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. 1

18As a 1 Arrows, and death, 1

19So 1 And saith, Am not I in sport? 1

20For 1 And where there is no whisperer, contention ceaseth. 1

21As coals 1 So is a contentious man to inflame strife. 1

22The 1 And they go down into the innermost parts. 1

23Fervent 1 Are like an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross. 1

24He 1 But he layeth up deceit within him: 1

25When 1 For there are seven abominations in his heart: 1

26Though his hatred 1 His wickedness shall be openly shown before the assembly. 1

27Whoso diggeth 1 And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him. 1

28A 1 And a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
