Proverbs 30

The 1 The man saith unto Ithiel, unto Ithiel and Ukal: 1

Surely 1 And have not the understanding of a man; 1

And 1 Neither have I the knowledge of the Holy One. 1

Who 1 Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? 1 Who hath bound the waters in his garment? 1 Who hath established all the ends of the earth? 1 What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou knowest? 1

Every 1 He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him. 1

Add 1 Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 1

Two 1 Deny me them not before I die: 1

Remove 1 Give me neither poverty nor riches; 1 Feed me with the food that is needful for me: 1

Lest 1 Or lest I be poor, and steal, 1 And use profanely the name of my God. 1

Slander 1 Lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty. 1

There is 1 And bless not their mother. 1

There is 1 And yet are not washed from their filthiness. 1

There is 1 And their eyelids are lifted up. 1

There is 1 To devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. 1

The 1 There are three things that are never satisfied, 1 Yea, four that say not, Enough: 1

Sheol 1 The earth that is not satisfied with water; 1 And the fire that saith not, Enough. 1

The 1 And despiseth to obey his mother, 1 The ravens of the valley shall pick it out, 1 And the young eagles shall eat it. 1

There 1 Yea, four which I know not: 1

The 1 The way of a serpent upon a rock; 1 The way of a ship in the midst of the sea; 1 And the way of a man with a maiden. 1

So 1 She eateth, and wipeth her mouth, 1 And saith, I have done no wickedness. 1

For 1 And for four, which it cannot bear: 1

For 1 And a fool when he is filled with food; 1

For 1 And a handmaid that is heir to her mistress. 1

There 1 But they are exceeding wise: 1

The 1 Yet they provide their food in the summer; 1

The 1 Yet make they their houses in the rocks; 1

The 1 Yet go they forth all of them by bands; 1

The 1 Yet is she in kings’ palaces. 1

There 1 Yea, four which are stately in going: 1

The 1 And turneth not away for any; 1

The 1 And the king against whom there is no rising up. 1

If thou 1 Or if thou hast thought evil, 1 Lay thy hand upon thy mouth. 1

For 1 And the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood; 1 So the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
